Radiology - Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Description:Unit Information:Number of Beds: 4 rooms, 1 patient per room.Number of Staff: 22 staff members consisting of RNs and Techs.Type of Staff:Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, Director, and 4 staff members per room, totaling 16 staff per shift.Night Shift: On-call team with 3 on each call team, totaling 7 staff.Patient Ratios: 1:1.Type of Equipment: All GE rooms.EMR: Meditech and MacLab. Typical Hiring Profile:Skill Set Most Recruited For: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.Must Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.BLS, ACLS, ARRT required.Must be competent in Special Procedures and GE Innova.Preferred Skills: Candidates with RCIS certification will be considered first. Typical Procedures Performed:Cardiac Catheterizations, Cerebral Angiograms, Stents, Balloons, ENT Lab, Scrubbing. Best Personality Fit:Team player, close-knit team, critical thinker, patient care focused, fast-paced.On-call is frequent; must be flexible and adapt to the needs of the unit. Dress Code:Red and gray scrubs in the Cath and EP Labs are acceptable.Unit scrubs may also be used.
