TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: Up to 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required; travel experience strongly preferred. License: Valid state RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs. Description: The role involves working on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on patient care and readiness for discharge. The unit will experience high patient turnover with both admissions and discharges. Nurses will typically manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5, which may increase to 1:7 with a team. There will be a need to float to other Medical Surgical units based on staffing needs. Staff will work every other weekend as part of the schedule. Holiday requests will be discussed with management and are not guaranteed. Candidates should have excellent prioritization skills and the ability to manage patient surges. Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. The focus is on balancing patient throughput with positive patient experience. Candidates must be willing to accommodate a variety of patient diagnoses and needs. This position requires engagement with interdisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability are essential for success in this role.
