About This Role
Seeking a hardworking, caring, enthusiastic teacher for a preschool / before and after school program for a small childcare center. Create crafts, play games and teach fun STEM projects with children from 3-10 years old.
Hours would be about 2:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m.
What You'll Do- Always ensure the safety and well-being of each child
- Be warm and nurturing with children
- Plan and teach fun interactive activities for students
- Assist teachers in implementing curriculum and planning daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family while providing quality care and friendly service.
- Be a positive role model for all care giving staff and children
- Maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for
all children.
- Support the transitions of the day, including bathroom time, indoor/outdoor transitions, helping children change clothes, etc.
- Become familiar with providing positive guidance and discipline and learning strategies to encourage appropriate behavior per school policy.
- Perform assigned "housekeeping" tasks such as clean-up and straightening common supply areas in the classroom and around the school.

- Engage in daily activities
- Have experience working with children
- Reliable transportation
- Passionate about working with young children
- Work closely and effectively in a team setting
- Flexibility to the meet needs of the children and adjust to changes in the learning environment
- Ability to make good judgments and decisions
CPR and First Aid Certification
