Clinical Director The Residential Treatment Facility provides therapeutic and support services to adolescents aged 17-21 who are referred to us through ACS and the Juvenile Justice system. Our residents have experienced significant trauma, resulting in behavioral, emotional, and functional/developmental issues. We offer an extensive independent living skills program, including vocational preparation and educational services that assist youth in reaching independence. The Clinical Director has full responsibility for the ongoing clinical and administrative guidance of the clinical staff members, providing ongoing training, supervision, and guidance to staff. Position Overview The Clinical Director is the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) liaison for the program and is fully familiar with regulatory requirements and Agency/Divisional clinical standards and practices. They function as an internal resource on such matters and serve as a senior member of the residential management team. In collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment team members, the Clinical Director ensures the integrity of treatment planning processes and maintenance of the highest documentation standards as required by regulations and professional scope of practice. The Clinical Director also provides safe, high‑quality programs and adheres to company policies and procedures. Key Essential Functions Provides regularly scheduled supervision to all clinical staff members. Evaluates and assesses treatment and service plans. Evaluates clinical staff and provides training through regular supervision. May carry a caseload, as needed. Actively participates in the intake process for new referrals and reviews clients’ ongoing service/treatment plans. Ensures all clinical needs of the client are met throughout the youth’s placement. Ensures appropriate supervision of all program interns, either through direct supervision or by overseeing the clinical supervision provided by the social worker. May run specialized groups to meet program needs. Serves as a key staff resource for community outreach efforts and may establish linkages with other groups, individuals, or organizations that may benefit our clients. Provides all necessary notes, progress notes, risk assessments, and other paperwork as required. Might cover for the Assistant Director in his/her absence. Assists in day‑to‑day model operations – skills group assistance, modeling, coaching, skills reinforcement, and teaching on the fly. Program Responsibilities Program development, documentation review, material design, and curriculum development. Oversees data tracking, collection, analysis, and reporting via the Program Implementation Review (PIR). Troubleshoots implementation barriers, puts action steps in place to address barriers, and tracks progress toward goals. Participates in ongoing training and efforts that develop expertise in ITM (DBT) so they are capable of being culture carriers of the ITM in the organization. Other duties as assigned. Management Hires and provides clinical and administrative supervision to the Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health Clinicians, and other clinical staff. Manages risk regarding client safety by adhering to all risk management protocols. Core Competencies Ability to write policy, procedures, and protocols. Empathy for youth and families and a passion for including youth and family voices in child welfare programming. Capacity to lead and supervise a range of child/adolescent‑focused services within a milieu treatment setting. Expands and develops youth‑guided family‑driven care. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Skilled in using data to inform & guide practice. Values and demonstrates cultural competency. Values professional development and participation in supervision and training. Educational/Training Required LCSW, LMSW, or a master’s degree in social work (Behavioral Health or related field). A minimum of five (5) years of experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, or other residential treatment settings, with at least three (3) years in a senior managerial or operations level capacity. Specialized experience with residential treatment may also be required. Salary $90,000 Benefits Generous paid time off, paid agency holidays, and 15 sick days.
