About This Role

Little Leaders Academy is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and hands-on Child Care Director to lead our early learning center in Atlanta, Georgia. We are looking for someone who will serve as the face of our center, building relationships with families, leading a strong team, supporting enrollment growth, and creating an exceptional experience for every child. This is more than an administrative role. Our Director is visible, approachable, and actively engaged with children, teachers, parents, and the community. The ideal candidate enjoys giving tours, assisting with marketing and community outreach, mentoring staff, and stepping into classrooms or other areas whenever support is needed. What You'll Do

• Lead the daily operations of the child care center.
• Serve as the welcoming face of Little Leaders Academy for current and prospective families.
• Conduct engaging center tours and convert prospective families into enrollments.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
• Support enrollment growth through marketing initiatives, networking, and community outreach.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia DECAL, Bright from the Start, and all licensing requirements.
• Monitor classroom quality and provide coaching and support to teachers.
• Step into classrooms and assist with daily operations whenever needed.

Oversee staff scheduling, center organization, and operational excellence.

Plan and support family engagement events and special programs.

Maintain accurate licensing, personnel, and student records.

Address parent concerns professionally and provide outstanding customer service.

Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Georgia Child Care Director Credential (Director Certificate) required.
• Must meet all Georgia DECAL qualifications to serve as a Child Care Director.
• Director experience in a licensed child care center preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Georgia licensing requirements and Bright from the Start regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable conducting tours and representing the center within the community.
• Ability to recruit, coach, and motivate a high-performing team.
• Professional, dependable, organized, and solution-oriented.
• Willingness to jump in wherever needed to support the success of the center.
• Ability to pass all required background screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Business, or a related field.
• Experience managing a Georgia Lottery Pre-K program.
• Experience with enrollment growth and marketing.
• Community outreach or event planning experience.
• Knowledge of Quality Rated standards.
• Experience using Procare or similar child care management software.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
