Tax Partner

A well-established, family-owned public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Partner to step into a key leadership role within the practice. This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Tax Manager, Director, or Partner-level professional who wants to play a major role in the future growth of a highly entrepreneurial firm with deep roots in the market. The firm is entering its 4th generation of leadership and has grown from a small local practice into a multi-million-dollar business through strong client relationships, quality service, and a hands‑on culture. They are looking for someone who can come in, lead from the front, mentor and develop staff, improve processes, and help scale the tax practice alongside firm leadership. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, managing complex client relationships, and creating operational structure. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and oversee a diverse tax client portfolio with a strong concentration in real estate, construction, and closely held businesses Manage and mentor tax staff, seniors, and managers while helping build out the future leadership pipeline Review complex partnership, S‑Corp, C‑Corp, and individual tax returns Drive workflow management, scheduling, engagement timelines, and team accountability Improve internal processes and help create efficiencies across the tax practice Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax planning, compliance, and business matters Partner closely with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives and long‑term succession planning Assist with hiring and team development initiatives What They’re Looking For 10–12+ years of public accounting tax experience Strong technical expertise within the real estate and construction industries preferred Candidates without real‑estate/construction experience must have significant partnership taxation experience, ideally with complex or private equity‑backed structures Prior experience managing teams, client relationships, and high‑volume workloads Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent communication skills internally and externally Someone energetic, proactive, and able to lead with personality and presence A “get things done” mentality with the ability to balance technical expertise and leadership CPA Active Why This Opportunity Stands Out Highly entrepreneurial environment with significant long‑term upside Opportunity to help shape the future direction of a growing firm Leadership role with real influence and visibility from day one Family‑owned culture with strong values and long‑term employee investment Competitive compensation package Strong existing client base and consistent workflow If you're interested in learning more about the opportunity, please contact Casey Crawford with Verital (Engtal), who is managing the search. #J-18808-Ljbffr
