Robotic Software & Controls Engineer

Job DescriptionWho You AreWe are looking for Engineer specialized in Robotic Software & Controls who will be responsible for software development, implementation, testing, and onsite/in-plant debug and runoff for robotic paint and sealer applications. You need to be a customer-focused problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams and also have had experience with troubleshooting complex electrical and pneumatic devices, ideally FANUC America robots. How It’s DoneResponsible for controls system software (PLC/HMI/GUI) design, programming, debugging and implementationProject work with other Controls Engineers and /or supervise/train Associate Engineers Work as part of an execution team and assume complete responsibility for system control function from start to finish of the projectWrite controls specifications defining the functional scope of controls and the I/O requirementsReview and assist the electrical design processSupport plant floor integration, field installation, startup, and systems troubleshootingRegular travel to customer facilitiesWhat You NeedBachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum one year of experience with PLC setup and/or PC software programmingExperience with systems engineering, design, assembly, preferably related to robotic automation systemsWiring and troubleshooting experienceFamiliarity with various networking protocolsWhat Would Be Even BetterExperience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or Mitsubishi PLCExperience with virtual commissioning software (Process Simulate, Emulate3D)It’s Up To YouAt FANUC America Corporation we are passionate about our customers, our employees, and the work we perform.
