Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 05/04/2026 for a 15-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,815–$1,922 per week. Shift: Days. Setting: inpatient medical‑surgical unit with potential to float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units. Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $1,815–$1,922 per week Contract duration: 15 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours scheduled after first full week of orientation Shift: Day shift Start date: 05/04/2026 Setting: Inpatient medical‑surgical unit; may float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units Responsibilities Provide Med/Surg level nursing care for adults 18 and older, including assessments, care planning, and execution of patient‑centered interventions Monitor patient status, administer medications, and document in Meditech EMR; collaborate with the care team to update plans of care Manage wound care, wound vac, chest tubes, and other equipment; ensure proper use of Pyxis and related supply systems Support patient safety, infection control, and appropriate escalation of changes in condition; educate patients and families as needed May float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units as assigned; adapt to varying shift lengths and days Maintain professional appearance and adhere to unit standards, including a 1:5 nurse‑to‑patient ratio where applicable Requirements Active Hawaii RN license by start date (if not currently licensed, must apply upon acceptance) BLS certification required; ACLS is preferred Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or higher‑level care experience Education: RN credential from an approved nursing program Ability to work 36 hours per week after orientation and to accommodate varying shift lengths and days Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements Benefits and Support Competitive weekly pay 24/7 recruiter and travel support Orientation and department‑specific training included Dedicated support throughout the assignment PAY DISCLAIMER RULE Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
