An established and growing concrete solutions organization is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join its operations team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting cost-effective purchasing strategies. Responsibilities

• Sourcing and vetting prospective suppliers that meet company quality and technical standards.
• Request quotes, draft proposals, and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Execute purchase orders (POs) and manage the procurement lifecycle through ERP system.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, work closely with field personnel and operation teams.
• Build strong supplier relationships, evaluate performance, and resolve discrepancies regarding pricing, defects, and/or delayed shipments.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and analyze purchasing trends to optimize future purchases.
• Analysis on purchasing trends, cost data, and pricing impacts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a similar field preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain logistics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate supply needs and interact professionally with vendors.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of purchasing principles and practices.
