Nuclear Inspector (ASME/National Board) ON SITE in Raleigh, NC area

Insight Global is seeking a Nuclear Inspector to support nuclear power plant operations throughout North and South Carolina. In this role, you will serve as the primary onsite inspection representative, ensuring compliance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code requirements, National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) standards, and applicable jurisdictional regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly within the nuclear industry, supporting critical repair, replacement, and quality assurance initiatives at operating nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASME and National Board shop and field inspections.
• Review, verify, and evaluate quality assurance programs and design specifications.
• Monitor client QA programs for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and requirements.
• Document inspection activities and findings in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure repair and replacement activities comply with ASME BPV Code, NBIC, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Work independently as the primary onsite inspection representative supporting assigned nuclear facilities.

Schedule & Travel

• 4x10 work schedule onsite at nuclear facilities.
• Based in the Raleigh, NC area with travel to nuclear plants in North and South Carolina.
• Majority of time spent supporting the primary facility, with periodic travel to a secondary plant location.
• Company vehicle provided for business travel.

Required Qualifications

• National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with N & R Endorsements .
• 1+ year of experience as an Authorized Nuclear Inspector working with ASME BPV Code requirements.
• Working knowledge of ASME Section XI .
• 1+ year of quality assurance experience supporting shop and field repair processes.
• Ability to meet minimum qualification requirements through a combination of industry experience and education.
