About the Company
Our excellent client is seeking a Production Planning & Scheduling Coordinator to support daily production scheduling, expediting, and workflow coordination across the manufacturing floor. This hands?on role is critical to keeping production moving and ensuring on?time customer delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this position translates demand into actionable production plans, aligns materials and priorities, and works closely with Production, Materials, and Purchasing teams to resolve issues and keep jobs on track. This is a fast?paced, highly visible role for someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable driving priorities on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track production jobs from release through completion
- Expedite work?in?process across departments to support on?time delivery
- Communicate daily priorities, including hot items and work instructions
- Execute ERP/MRP activities to align materials with production schedules
- Coordinate raw material needs with Purchasing
- Submit purchase orders for approval as required
- Monitor schedules, identify risks or delays, and proactively resolve issues
- Maintain accurate job status and production data in the ERP system
- Partner with the Production Control Manager on daily priorities and KPIs
- Support ERP system enhancements and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and operational execution
Qualifications
- 25 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, or production control ERP/MRP system experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow?up skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced environment
- Detail?oriented, proactive, and accountable
Work Environment
- Onsite manufacturing and office environment
- Frequent presence on the shop floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
- Occasional overtime may be required
