Our organization is actively seeking candidates for an Otolaryngology role within a dynamic Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. We are particularly interested in individuals who wish to engage in comprehensive general ENT practice rather than focusing on sub-specialties. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology and qualify for an active medical license in Louisiana.

Applicants will be expected to engage in various faculty responsibilities, which include teaching medical students, house staff, and fellows; conducting research and publishing results in academic journals; and presenting at medical conferences. A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or equivalent degree is required. Faculty members with interests in Translational and/or Clinical Research will be viewed favorably.

• 13 full-time faculty members
• 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APP)
• 15 residents and 2 fellows
• On-call duty is one week per quarter

• Our health sciences center includes the School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies, and School of Allied Health Professions, along with a strong research component. Over 800 students are enrolled in various degree programs at any given time, and nearly 600 residents and fellows receive training annually.
• We are home to the only Level I Trauma center in the surrounding area, and one of only two in the state.
• Our collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses collaborates to create tailored care plans for each patient.
• Physician leadership is encouraged and valued at all administrative levels.
• We utilize the EPIC medical record system.

Our facility is a 436-bed hospital that serves as a research and teaching institution. The Shreveport-Bossier area is a metropolitan region with a population of approximately 450,000, located in northwest Louisiana, about three hours from Dallas, Texas, and Jackson, Mississippi, and just five hours from New Orleans.
