Quality Engineer

Position: Sr. Quality Engineer
Location: Oxford, Alabama area
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience with forging and CNC machining operations, GD&T proficiency, and programming in Polyworks
- Experience with Non-Destructive Testing, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) study,
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards and Statistical process Controls
Key Duties
- Create Control Plans and supporting PFMEA's and or all product lines. Create and modify Inspection instructions
- Liaison with Government Quality Assurance representative. Ensure products conform to Customer and Government standards and specifications.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Actions for non-conforming parts and lead Materials Review Board teams.
- Spearhead Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives: Six Sigma, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagram, Pareto Charts.
- Perform RFQ and Contract review to ensure customer Quality requirements are documented and communicated to Manufacturing
