You’ll design, analyze, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and exceed expectations.The Manager, Reporting & Audit position reports to the Senior Manager, and can be based out of Overland Park, Kansas, or remotely for the right candidate. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.Lead end-to-end audit ownership across multiple entities (EI, EWS, Combined, FINCO, and Crawford), including PBC preparation, audit confirmations, and response to interim and year-end auditor inquiries.Oversee the preparation of investment and fair value footnotes and disclosures for both EI and EWS consolidated financial statements.Manage the preparation of consolidated QTD/YTD investment, equity, and cash flow rollforward schedules.Direct the review of deferred G/L analysis, NCI documentation, consolidation tagging entries, and regulatory reporting requirements.Partner with external audit teams and internal stakeholders to coordinate audit logistics, resolve open items, and maintain strong control documentation.Develop, mentor, and manage a team of reporting and audit accountants; set priorities, review work product, and support professional development.Coordinate with Accounting Operations on cross-functional close and consolidation deliverables.Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, internal controls, and documentation standards.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.8+ years of investment accounting or financial reporting experience.CPA preferred or actively in process.Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP and consolidation accounting principles.Experience with investment-related ERP systems (PeopleSoft preferred).Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple audit and reporting cycles.Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (advanced Excel required).Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of management.Why Choose Security Benefit?When you join our team, you’re not just getting a paycheck — you’re getting a career path full of growth opportunities, plus a robust benefits package that puts your well-being first.
