This role focuses on setting up and operating complex CNC machinery to produce high-tolerance, aerospace-grade components. You will work with advanced multi-spindle and multi-turret equipment, interpret and adjust CNC programs, and make precise edits to M and G codes to ensure parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements.

Job Details

• Must have Aerospace experience and experience working with either Twin Turret machines or 5-axis horizontal mills
• We have availability in 1st and 2nd shift
• Pay is $28 to $33 an hour ($33 to $35 if you have done some programming)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate complex CNC machinery, including twin spindle and twin turret configurations, mill-turn lathes, live tooling, sub-spindle, multi-spindle, and multi-turret machines.
• Run and optimize CNC equipment such as Eurotech lathes, Okuma machines, Doosan Pumas, DMG Mori machines, Swiss lathes, and 5-axis mills, including Matsura and turn-mill platforms.
• Set up and operate 5-axis milling centers to produce precision components for aerospace and defense applications.
• Read and interpret CNC programs created in Fusion, CAMWorks, SolidWorks, FutureCAM, and MasterCAM.
• Review CNC programs thoroughly before and during production to verify correct tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds.
• Make precise edits and adjustments to M and G codes directly at the machine to improve part quality, address issues, and optimize cycle times.
• Perform tool changes, adjust tool offsets, and manage tooling for multi-turret and multi-spindle operations.
• Ensure all machined parts meet high-tolerance, aerospace-grade specifications and customer requirements.
• Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a clean room, air-conditioned environment.
• Collaborate with team members and engineering staff to resolve machining challenges and improve processes.
• Document setup information and adjustments to support repeatability and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience setting up and operating twin spindle and twin turret CNC machines.
• Proficiency operating Eurotech, Okuma, Doosan Pumas, DMG Mori, Swiss lathes, and 5-axis Matsura machines.
• Ability to set up and run mill-turn lathes with live tooling, sub-spindles, and multi-turret configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret CNC programs thoroughly at the control.
• Demonstrated skill in making direct edits to M and G codes at the machine.
• Experience performing tool changes and adjustments on complex multi-spindle and multi-turret equipment.
• Ability to read and understand CNC programs generated from Fusion, CAMWorks, SolidWorks, FutureCAM, and MasterCAM.
• Proven experience working in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining tight tolerances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis machining and turn-mill operations.
• Familiarity with mill-turn lathes, live tooling, sub-spindle, multi-spindle, and multi-turret setups.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize programs for quality and efficiency.
• Comfort working with a variety of CNC controls and machine brands.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education advancement classes.

Work Environment

You will work in an indoor, air-conditioned facility designed for precision manufacturing. The environment includes clean room conditions that support high-tolerance aerospace and defense machining, with modern CNC equipment such as twin spindle and twin turret machines, mill-turn lathes, live tooling, multi-spindle and multi-turret setups, Swiss lathes, and 5-axis mills including Matsura and similar platforms. The workspace emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety while providing access to advanced programming tools and systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
