Requisition Number : COMMU002135 Posted : September 24, 2026 Part-Time Locations Showing 1 location Brooklyn, NY Description Our Tent Family Enrichment Center is looking for a warm, energetic, and community minded person to help families feel welcome, connected, and heard. This role combines community outreach and partnership building with the day-to-day work of creating a welcoming center and developing programs alongside local families. Responsibilities: Welcome families and community members to the FEC and encourage them to take part in its programs and activities Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, leaders, public institutions, and local coalitions Represent the FEC at community events and share its offerings with parents and caregivers, including those who may feel isolated or have less access to support Listen to families’ interests and work with them to design and deliver meaningful programs and monthly events Bring together and support a team of local parents who help shape FEC activities. Training will be provided Help families connect with local resources, services, and practical supports, including referrals when appropriate Create calendars, website content, guides, toolkits, and other materials that help families learn about and access the FEC Requirements: Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years of professional experience;OR a high school diploma AND five (5) years of professional experience in community-driven-programs working directly with children, youth and families Minimum knowledge of, lived experience in, and commitment to the FEC community Experience caring for children as a parent, guardian, relative, neighbor, or babysitter The ideal candidate is an empathetic communicator with natural warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in building relationships. We are looking for someone who sees the strengths in every family, enjoys bringing people together, and wants to help create a space shaped by the community it serves. This part-time position is 17½ hours per week and may lead to a full-time opportunity. The position is based in Brooklyn and requires flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed.
