Technical Training Manager - Frederick, MD

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve training programs that support FAA/ATC technical onboarding, job function training, and workforce readiness. Build and manage structured learning paths for key FAA program audiences, including system engineers, test engineers, field service engineers, contractors, and other technical staff. Partner with FAA program staff, engineering leads, technical SMEs, and the Technical Trainer to identify training needs, prioritize gaps, and align learning solutions to business goals. Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, onsite setup, learner attendance, feedback collection, test completion tracking, grading criteria, and training records. Own LMS administration and reporting for FAA training, including course assignments, completion tracking, learner progress, and training compliance documentation. Facilitate training working groups with engineering managers, team leads, and SMEs to validate content, define priorities, and ensure training remains accurate, current, and aligned across program stakeholders. Create and maintain training materials, curriculum frameworks, job aids, SOP training resources, and supporting documentation in partnership with technical experts. Support the development of training related to technical onboarding, site surveys, site testing, and Standard Operating Procedures. Manage the full training lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, delivery coordination, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement of training initiatives. Measure training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, LMS data, performance metrics, and stakeholder input. Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership regarding training progress, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. Lead onboarding and orientation programs to support the successful integration of new employees and contractors into the FAA/ATC program. Support knowledge capture efforts by helping convert SME expertise, lessons learned, and technical processes into reusable training resources.
