About This Position Assist in the development, service, and retention of the Wes Watkins Center Customer Base. Serve as an inbound customer request contact with a focus on selling and marketing the Wes Watkins Center space for customer meetings, conferences, banquets, receptions, weddings, dances, and other functions. Be a primary source of information for providing estimate menu costs, preparing event proposals; event planning, development, and execution as well as field general questions, concerns and/or ideas. Proactively look for ways to improve profitability while increasing product offerings and providing world-class customer service. Provide reliable, accurate, and improvement-oriented frontend and backend data on events. Check events for quality presentation, order accuracy, and professionalism. Demonstrate punctuality and dependability in work arrival and departure times. Effectively manage time in order to see effective follow-through on events and leaving time to generate new bookings. Administer to outside vendors the requirements and procedures for kitchen policy, off campus vendor, and food handling requirements. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Two years of work experience Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience Certifications, Registrations, And/or Licenses Valid Driver's License - before hire Food Handler's Permit/Serve Safe Certification - after hire Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge Computer skills with the ability to learn applicable software programs Exceptional communication and interactive skills Flexibility to fast-paced environment, needs demands and changes Must work well under pressure Organizational skills Able to lift 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Hospitality or food related discipline/ Hotel/Rest Admin or Culinary arts or Business Proven track record of events sales, planning and execution Motivational And Training Capabilities And Experience Previous food service/catering experience Four years of clerical/customer service experience Additional Skills Analytical skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
