Senior Electrical Supervisor

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Senior Electrical Supervisor for the Natchitoches Engineered Wood Products manufacturing facility located in Natchitoches, LA. The Sr. Electrical Supervisor is a full-time, salaried exempt role and reports to the Maintenance Manager. This role plans, leads, and directs the daily activities of a team of electricians, PLC Technicians, and mechanics in the areas of safety, quality, and electrical maintenance for all equipment, buildings, and rolling stock.

Key Functions:

• Executing electrical maintenance activities in assigned areas, with the safety of associates and contractors being the highest priority.

• Leading preventive & predictive electrical maintenance/process reliability in assigned shift and area.

• Analyzing data to ensure proper down day tasks.

• Administrative and reporting activities.

• Supporting the improvement of key performance indicators, continuous improvement of maintenance functions, and for department budget cost effectiveness.

• Developing and training associates including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

• Participating in and/or leading initiatives for capital projects and problem-solving activities as assigned.

• Assuring purchasing functions follow established policies and procedures.

• Utilizing preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime

• Supporting, maintaining, and improving processes associated with the computerized maintenance management system for process reliability.

• Facilitating team meetings & trainings with assigned team.

• Identifying safety, environmental, quality, and production issues.

• Providing leadership for the ongoing development of the maintenance team.

• Supporting training and development plans to improve skills, knowledge, and team performance.

• Encouraging innovation.

• Leading the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.

• Staffing, recruiting and retaining talent. 

• Other duties as assigned.
