CGHS - Adjunct Faculty (remote)

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is actively seeking highly skilled adjunct faculty members for the College of Graduate Health Studies (CGHS) to engage in collaborative instruction that aligns with our college's mission, teaching 1-2 courses per 10-week term. The ideal candidate will excel in positively interacting with post-graduate students in an online asynchronous learning environment. Faculty members are expected to create a supportive learning environment that fosters student success while maintaining frequent communication and interaction with students. Please note that adjunct positions are only filled on an as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality instruction in an online asynchronous format Engage students through collaborative learning techniques Provide constructive and timely feedback on student work Maintain regular communication with students and relevant CGHS administration and staff Contribute to curriculum development and improvement initiatives Requirements Graduate degree in a field relevant to one or more of our CGHS degree programs; doctoral degree preferred and is required to teach in some programs. Note: If a terminal degree is not held, a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area to be instructed is required. Minimum of two years of teaching experience in higher education, preferably with some experience in an online/distance education setting Demonstrated success in the classroom as documented in teaching evaluations, course evaluations, and/or recommendations Demonstrated proficiency in using online learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, WebCT) Strong computer and technology skills Ability to provide remote, synchronous, and asynchronous support to students Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) Ability to provide timely and meaningful feedback to students Commitment to responding to student inquiries within 24 hours Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students.
