Phlebotomist/Processor

We’re seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Processor with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player committed to delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our collective goals. This position may require travel as needed for coverage. Schedule Monday–Friday, alternating shifts: 8:15AM – 5:15PM Monday–Friday, alternating shifts: 7:00AM – 5:00PM Medical, Dental, Vision with In‑Network & Custom Network discounts 401(K) with discretionary employer match Paid Time Off Free clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service, answer phones, and monitor instrumentation alarms. Perform venipuncture for blood collection and obtain additional specimen types as required. Prepare all samples for lab testing and screening. Verify specimen information, perform data entry, and properly identify patient information. Receive, process, and package samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity. Follow safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participate in quality assurance. Cover work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations. Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to support the team and patients. Education & Certification High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Must have at least 1 year of hands‑on phlebotomy experience. Pediatric phlebotomy experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills; able to interact professionally with patients and team members. Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively. Physical Requirements Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds. High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to respond to safety needs. Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield). Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day. Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed. OSHA Category This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Hepatitis‑B vaccination is offered to all performing these duties.
