Flooring Warehouse Associate

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Shop Worker to join our fabrication team, with a strong focus on binding, serging, and custom area rug production. This role is ideal for someone with previous floor covering shop experience and/or carpet installation background who enjoys hands‐on work and takes pride in producing high‐quality finished products. Key Responsibilities Operate binding and serging machines to fabricate custom area rugs and runners Measure, cut, and prepare carpet and broadloom for custom fabrication Produce clean, straight, professional‐quality edges and finishes Inspect materials and finished goods to ensure quality and accuracy Assist with special requests such as custom sizes, shapes, and stair runners Maintain equipment, tools, and a clean, organized shop workspace Load, unload, and move rolls of carpet and finished rugs as needed Collaborate with installers, sales staff, and other shop personnel to meet deadlines Qualifications & Experience Previous flooring shop or carpet installation experience preferred Familiarity with carpet handling, seams, cuts, and fabrication processes Experience with binding and/or serging machines is a strong plus (training available for the right candidate) Ability to accurately measure and work with hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Physically able to lift, move, and maneuver flooring materials Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team If you’ve worked in a flooring shop, warehouse, or installation crew and are comfortable handling carpet and custom projects, this is a great opportunity to work in a stable, detail‐driven environment.
