RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate processing of commercial real estate (CRE), C&I, construction, and SBA loans.
• Review loan packages for completeness and adherence to credit approvals.
• Order and track third-party reports (appraisals, environmental, title, UCC, flood determinations).
• Prepare and/or review closing documentation in collaboration with legal counsel.
• Coordinate loan closings and ensure accurate funding.
• Ensure timely and accurate onboarding of loans to core and servicing systems.
• Monitor pipeline reports and track loan status to ensure timely movement to closing.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain commercial loan procedures and documentation checklists.
• Assist in testing and implementation of LOS and system enhancements.
• Support post-closing review and documentation exception tracking.
• Ensure documentation aligns with approved credit memos and policy requirements.
• Assist with internal audits, loan reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Track covenant compliance and reporting requirements as needed.
• Serve as operational subject matter expert for commercial loan products.
• Provide feedback on guideline clarity and operational feasibility.
• Assist in training lending staff on documentation and processing standards.
• Coordinate the annual review process to ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
• Review personal and business financial statements for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure that loans are risk rated consistent with credit union policies and industry standards.
• Manage and maintain the document tickler report. Work with Relationship Managers to ensure the timely collection of financials, updated insurance, property tax payments, and other tickler items.
• Prepare monthly portfolio reporting on the commercial portfolio as requested by management.
• Satisfy mortgages or other liens in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is of a generally sedentary nature with limited need to lift or otherwise move objects (10 lbs or under). Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Requires manual dexterity and visual ability to work at a computer terminal, utilize keyboard, telephone and other standard office equipment. Must also be able to deliver and receive verbal communication.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3-5+ years of commercial loan processing experience or commercial lending operations experience
• Experience with CRE loans required
• Credit union experience preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation and collateral perfection
• Familiarity with UCC filings, title policies, environmental reports, and construction draws
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations (NCUA, FHLB, HMDA, ECOA) and risk management principles
• Experience with loan origination (Salesforce) systems and core banking systems (Epysis, Symitar, Synergy, Jack Henry)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple complex files simultaneously
