Position Summary The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals in accordance with planned menus, physician-ordered diets, sanitation standards, and facility policies. This position plays a critical role in supporting resident health, satisfaction, and overall well-being. What You'll Do Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, production sheets, and dietary requirements Ensure meals are prepared attractively and served at appropriate temperatures Follow therapeutic and specialized diets as directed Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion control Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation regulations Assist with kitchen cleaning and organization Work collaboratively with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents What We're Looking For Experience in healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or institutional cooking preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Genuine passion for serving seniors Why Join Eagle Ridge?
