Position Classification Non-Exempt - Hourly Job Summary This position is primarily responsible for the implementation and maintenance of shipments of foam products to customers. Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Experience Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serves as the point of contact for Fabrication shipping. Manages Fabrication shipping production for the facility. Communicate in a timely fashion the status of orders to customer service, managers, supervisors, and leads. Ensure efficient operation of shipping products to customer while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Resolves all dock and shipping issues. Make recommendations by notifying supervisor to correct problems that could hinder or reduce output, or affect quality. Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production area. Practice proper safety techniques. Participate in the Continual Improvement Process for manufacturing and business processes. Waste reduction training and awareness. Conducting Internal Audits and assisting with external audits. To be sure customer’s expectations are met, and daily duties are performed in timely manner. Follow all procedures and guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested. Education High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience Good mechanical aptitude. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment. Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity. Safety - Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly. Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions. Computer skills are required; plus, use of scan gun.
