Shipping ClerkTitle: Shipping Clerk Business Unit: Medeco Security Locks Location: Salem, VA (on-site) Department: Operations Shift: 1st EEO Job Class: Non-Exempt Status: Full-Time Reports To: Shipping & Receiving Manager Pay Range: $17.80/hr - $23.86/hr (DOE)Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing product for shipment and performing all duties to ensure timely and accurate shipment of product to customers.Key Responsibilities:Receive incoming product for shipment performing all duties to ensure timely and accurate shipment of product to customers via UPS, truck line, overnight, or other shipping methods as needed.Organize product and shipping area and take responsibility to familiarize self with the shipping area and any changing needsTrain team members on job tasks and be available as liaison to Medeco team for shipping questions and issues resolving these through the proper channelsWork overtime as needed to maintain daily on-time deliveryMaintain 5S and be proactive to improve safetyPerform any additional duties required to ensure smooth product flowPerform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalentBasic computer skillsMust be mobile to move from workstation to anotherMust be able to work in a team environment with good communication skillsHeavy lifting – up to 50 lbs. occasionallyOrganizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSelf-motivated with minimal supervisionMedeco is committed to providing equal employment and advancement opportunity ("EEO") to all qualified persons.
