Role Overview Provides social work services within a hospital's Emergency and inpatient settings, focusing on biopsychosocial assessments, trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions, and advocacy for patients and families. Key Responsibilities Respond to social needs across departments. Conduct biopsychosocial and trauma assessments. Implement trauma-informed, solution-focused interventions. Screen for social determinants of health and provide case management. Collaborate with healthcare teams and community providers. Develop safety plans, engage in crisis intervention, and offer emotional support. Provide information, referrals, and counseling on issues like child protection, violence, mental health, and homelessness. Maintain effective therapeutic relationships and communicate proactively with team members. Qualifications & Skills Master’s degree in social work. LICSW licensure in MA required. Experience in medical social work preferred, with strong clinical skills and cultural competence. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; bicultural/bilingual skills are a plus.
