Location: Plantation, FL
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and every Saturday, 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Plantation, FL. The Phlebotomist I serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while collecting high-quality blood specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients accurately, safely, and efficiently.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and address questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and staff.
• Complete all assigned tasks accurately and within designated timelines.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold a positive company image.
• Work independently while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Experience

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood draws preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry experience required.

• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a clinical laboratory or patient service center.
• Previous experience processing laboratory specimens.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

Working Conditions
