Machinist – 2nd Shift

Pay: $24–$25/hour DOE

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our 2nd shift team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who takes pride in producing quality work, can operate independently with minimal supervision, and enjoys solving challenges on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will have strong machining fundamentals, experience with CNC equipment, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances while supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and related machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and technical drawings.
• Perform machine setups, tooling adjustments, and offsets as needed.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize hand and power tools to support machining and assembly operations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
• Work independently while meeting production and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, including mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Solid math and measurement skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift materials as required.
