Job Summary As a Procedural Registered Nurse, work as a licensed professional using the nursing practice model to oversee patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, and developing personalized care plans. Regularly assess patient responses to help patients navigate healthcare safely and prevent complications or delays. Delegate tasks based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills. Essential Functions of the Role Use careful clinical judgment to assess patients and prioritize their needs, creating and adjusting care plans for better results. Assess nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, tracking indicators, implementing changes based on research, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Educate patients and staff, integrating education into care at all levels. Apply systems thinking, using strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff. Enhance professionalism, contributing to decision‑making and recognizing others’ contributions meaningfully. Key Success Factors In‑depth understanding of nursing, patient care standards, and procedures. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and professional standards, including certification and accreditation requirements and departmental policies. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking for problem solving. Ability to monitor patients’ health and communicate changes efficiently to nursing staff and healthcare providers. Commitment to delivering top‑notch, patient‑centered care that honors patient diversity, following the nursing process and standards. Qualifications Accredited nursing program with at least one year of experience; or a minimum of two years of experience for a similar role. Major focus or specialization in Nursing. Registered Nurse (RN) credential. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
