Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year HALF- TIME SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST (K–12) Part-time (20 hours/week) St. Ann's Home & School, in Methuen, MA, is a leader in special education and residential programming, offering private day programs, child and adolescent residential services, along with a broad range of outpatient services. The mission of St. Ann's Home & School is to provide a continuum of assessment, treatment, educational, and community-based services for children, adolescents, and young adults who present with a variety of mental health, emotional, and educational challenges. We seek to provide state-of-the-art programming and services in collaboration with these clients, their families, and other community and state agencies to help them manage their disabilities through our residential, day school, and community outreach programs with the goal of supporting the child in the least restrictive setting. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis. The School Psychologist will provide counseling, assessment, and consultative services to students in grades K–12 with a focus on trauma-informed care and emotional regulation. This is a half-time role (20 hours/week) with a flexible schedule. This is a 10 month school year position. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group counseling to students with trauma and emotional disabilities Conduct psychological and educational evaluations for IEPs Collaborate with teachers, behavioral staff, and families to develop intervention strategies Support crisis response and safety planning Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through trauma-informed and evidence-based practices Qualifications Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist License or Certification Experience with trauma-informed care and students with social-emotional disabilities Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in therapeutic or special education school settings Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) a plus Familiarity with MTSS, or restorative practices The School Psychologist should be able to sit for long periods of time, write extensively, talk for long periods of time, and be able to communicate with other agency personnel, LEA representatives, families, and the children. The School Psychologist should be able to react quickly, lift and carry up to 20 pounds, climb stairs and be able to physically restrain youth in an emergency to ensure everyone’s safety is maintained. Staff are trained in current best practice techniques to safely respond to occasional aggressive, self-injurious or unsafe behaviors. St. Ann’s Home is a great place to work!
