Human Resource Generalist

E2 Optics is a woman‑owned technology integrator focused on the data center revolution. The company seeks a Human Resources Lead to support and develop its workforce across multiple sites. Responsibilities Ensure all employees follow safety practices and comply with company and client work‑site safety policies. Promote company core values and foster a family‑centric culture. Act as a site leader in applying human‑resources policies, practices, and programs. Partner with site leadership to provide guidance on all policy‑ and employee‑related matters. Handle corrective action matters in collaboration with managers. Assist with site transfer requests. Conduct benefits meetings, presentations, and open‑enrollment events. Lead new‑hire orientation sessions and manage completion of I‑9 and other required documentation. Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives. Coordinate onboarding processes for designated site locations. Develop and implement training and development programs aligned with career paths and business needs. Provide support for all HR‑related questions and issues. Conduct site‑level investigations and collaborate with the HR Manager on awareness, escalations, and outcomes. Drive site leadership development through coaching, mentoring, and training. Collaborate on annual engagement plans and associated budgets. Gather and analyze employment data to improve HR execution. Facilitate performance, peer review, and pay‑equity processes. Support new hires with performance feedback meetings and record‑keeping in the HRIS. Organize team‑building activities to enhance job satisfaction. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations. Manage relationships and provide effective consultation strategies. Lead continuous improvement activities aligned with corporate strategic goals. Attend leadership meetings to provide HR updates and initiatives. Prepare reporting for site leadership such as driver metrics. Facilitate leave requests and administer necessary paperwork. Maintain accurate tracking information and follow‑up with employees and managers. Perform additional duties as assigned. Travel as required by E2 Optics. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (7+ years of progressive HR experience may substitute for a degree). Professional HR certification (PHR) or equivalent. 3–5 years of experience administering HR policies in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaborative skills. Exceptional problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution abilities. Practical understanding of general HR policies and procedures. Knowledge of employment/labor laws. Tactful, professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, and external parties. Strong attention to detail, record‑keeping, time‑management, and follow‑up skills. Self‑starter who proactively addresses issues and opportunities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities. Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements. Effective oral and written communication skills. Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player with excellent work ethics. Strategic planning skills. Work Environment and Physical Demands The position is based in an indoor business office and construction environment with moderate noise levels. Employees sit, talk, listen, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach, and stand frequently. They regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds, climb ladders to 20 feet, and may need to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs.
