Job Title: Restoration Crew Chief

Location: McDonough, GA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (On-call availability may be required)
Pay: Based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restoration Crew Chief to lead restoration crews responding to water, fire, mold, and storm damage projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on restoration experience, and the ability to manage job sites while delivering excellent customer service.

The Crew Chief is responsible for supervising technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently, documenting work performed, and communicating with customers throughout the restoration process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise restoration technicians on residential and commercial job sites.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition as needed.
• Inspect damage and develop a plan for restoration services.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other restoration equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and industry best practices.
• Complete job documentation, including moisture readings, photos, equipment logs, and daily progress reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and management.
• Train and mentor restoration technicians.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond to emergency after-hours calls as part of an on-call rotation when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in water, fire, mold, or storm damage restoration required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, or similar) are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use restoration software or mobile documentation systems is a plus.
• Ability to read moisture meters and understand drying principles.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working in environments affected by water, mold, smoke, or fire damage.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.
