About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric PACU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year Pediatric PACU experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Must have a vehicle for this assignment Description: This position requires floating between units based on skill sets. Candidates must have experience working in a Pediatric PACU. The expected patient ratio is 1:1. Weekends are not required for this position. On-call duties are not required. Must be proficient with EPIC charting system. PALS certification is mandatory. Responsibilities include caring for pediatric patients in pre/post-operative settings. The unit manages a variety of surgical specialties, including orthopedics and general surgery. Majority of cases will involve outpatient surgery. Expect interactions with interdisciplinary support services including pharmacy and social services. Travelers may be expected to float to other nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays. All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process. Candidates should not reach out directly unless for an agreed-upon interview.
