As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. This is a mobile position; training is available for the right candidate. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities * Brush and detangle or remove matted fur * Bathe dogs and dry coat * Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests * Examine for parasites or other skin conditions * Trim nails * Ensure the safety of dogs at all times * Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures * Be a self-starter and remain flexible * Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners * Communicate promptly utilizing specific software Qualifications * Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role * Comfortable working with anxious animals * Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds * Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education * Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners * Strong attention to detail * Comfortable driving a large van
