Merrill Advisor Development Program- Financial Advisor: Southeast Coastal Market

Merrill Wealth Management is a leading provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services for individuals, companies, and institutions. Merrill Wealth Management specializes in goals‑based wealth management, including planning for retirement, education, legacy, and other life goals through investment advice and guidance. Role Specifics As a Merrill Advisor Development Program – Financial Advisor, you will work with high‑net‑worth individuals to identify needs, develop relationships, review financial goals, and deliver comprehensive recommendations that align with the goals of both existing and prospective clients. You will also collaborate with and be mentored by Merrill Financial Advisor Teams, building portfolio growth. Responsibilities Develop a book of business to meet and exceed performance hurdles. Prioritize sourcing prospective clients, capitalize on referrals, assess customer needs, refer customers to internal specialists, and execute highly customized solutions. Recommend investment products and services suitable for prospects based on objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences. Balance investment growth, referral activities, customer follow‑up, prospect building, administrative compliance, and personal development. Organize and manage resources (time, people, budget) to run a productive practice. Seek specialist expertise, where appropriate, for planning and investment strategies. Complete mandated training, assessments, performance goals and continuing education requirements. Handle inbound inquiries, position Merrill and Bank of America capabilities, and collect necessary client profile data for account opening following KYC procedures. Serve as interim Financial Advisor, providing suitable recommendations and servicing client accounts. Document all client interactions and opportunities within Salesforce accurately. Required Qualifications Currently holds Series7 & 66 (or 63 & 65 in lieu of 66) licenses. Minimum one year experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment with proven goal attainment. Minimum one year experience in the investment industry, including training and in‑depth knowledge of investment products. Proven ability to engage with and influence others. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust and credibility quickly. Strong assessment skills to recommend appropriate solutions. Team collaboration skills and partnership with key partners. Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to source clients through extensive prospecting and networking. Ability to work in an environment where the majority of compensation is tied to performance. Strong follow‑through skills. Computer/technical literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or one year of financial services sales experience. Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications. Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
