Inspectors receive orders for the day, checking product for any discrepancies. Perform other tasks as needed. These positions require working day shift 7am - 5pm, to include weekends.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesStarts shift by checking power industrial trucks (PIT)Receives all orders for the dayWork orders by Team Lead's instruction and ship dates.Check orders against storage list.Sets up workstation for saw inspection and or full-size packWorks/handles material pulled against order.Scan order barcode into R12 to verify all packing instructionsVerify size, pattern, type, finish.Check each sheet for breaks or rejects.Correctly place tags with saw cut info.Place laminate that has passed inspection onto designated table(s)Place rejected laminate onto designated table(s)Enter rejected laminate information into systemTurn in productivity sheet to Team LeadTurn in shortages to pullersComplete assigned area cleaning by end of shiftUse of proper sized pallets and other packing materialsAbility to follow customer packing instructions.Must band material following proper procedures.Possesses knowledge of and inspects to Wilsonart's quality standardsPossesses knowledge of and inspects to ISO4586 NEMA quality standardsPossesses working knowledge of department and facility safety standardsPossess knowledge of laminate pattern codes, cores, finishes, etc.Employee will be trained and signed off on PIT equipment.Possesses ability to flip laminate without causing breakages.Possesses basic computer skills.Must be able to read a tape measure.Possess ability to use a micrometer.Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:Knowledge of computers sufficient to input and retrieve dataKnowledge of products and their manufacturing processes.Ability to understand and follow directions.Ability to use basic mathematical calculations.Ability to read and write legibly.Ability to identify material characteristics.Ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to work independently.Ability to maintain a safe work environment.Minimum RequirementsExperience: 1+ years—One year experience working in distribution and/or manufacturingPhysical Requirements: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMSEnvironment: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights.
