Research Fellow in Global Mental Health Implementation Science

Position Research Fellow in Global Mental Health Implementation Science. Location Boston, MA; frequent travel to field sites in the U.S. and internationally. Responsibilities Develop and implement an independent research project that extends and complements the lab's work; write and submit proposals; secure IRB approvals; conduct analysis, publish findings, and disseminate through conferences and scientific meetings. Act as scientific liaison for day‑to‑day oversight of research activities between Harvard Medical School and project sites and collaborators; conduct and lead data analyses; manage virtual meetings and travel. Design intervention materials, training content, and data collection instruments; lead implementation of study protocols; monitor data collection and quality in the field. Support capacity building within the team; present work to stakeholders; provide guidance and mentorship; engage stakeholders in dissemination. Eligibility & Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Doctoral degree in a relevant field (statistics, bioinformatics, implementation science, health economics, social work, sociology, clinical psychology, epidemiology). Applicants must receive the doctoral diploma by May 31, 2026. Additional Qualifications Record of scholarly publication, including first‑authored scientific journal articles. Expertise in research design and data analysis: clinical trials, implementation science, economic evaluation, digital health, statistical analysis for clinical trials, big data analysis. Track record engaging in fieldwork with stakeholders (participants, clinicians, community members, researchers). Experience in community settings, especially underserved and low‑resource areas. Knowledge of mental illnesses, mental health problems, and service interventions for low‑resource settings. Clinical, professional, or research experience in disaster response/humanitarian settings in the U.S. or elsewhere.
