Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Resuscitation Certification required Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred Holiday time off request will not be approved Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Collect and analyze relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Adhere to requirements for vaccinations as a condition of employment. Comply with relevant safety protocols and organizational policies.
