Summary:

Delivery drivers make local-area deliveries to customer facilities and job sites. Drivers complete job duties by preparing, loading, unloading, operating and cleaning a truck; maintaining records; and helping to develop sales. Drivers also assist in the warehouse as needed with order fulfillment, receiving, wire cutting, and other relevant tasks.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years old or older as we have a commercial vehicle in our fleet

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

• Ability to lift 70 pounds

• Ability to inspect, maintain, and safely operate a motor vehicle.

• Ability to load and unload a delivery truck from ground level or platform in a variety of warehouse and construction worksite situations.

• Ability to read and do math to correctly access warehouse materials for order picking, properly deliver orders, and correctly complete all paperwork for deliveries and pick-ups.

• Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet, and/or computer with relevant applications

• Able to proficiently speak, read, write, and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

-Professional driving experience (box trucks preferred)

-Warehouse experience

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Deliveries in all weather conditions including during extreme hot/cold, rain, ice, snow, and other seasonal conditions. Most time is expected to be in a delivery vehicle and loading/unloading material and working in the warehouse. Our delivery vehicles utilize front, rear, and driver-facing camera systems.

Essential Job Functions:

• Legally and safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.

• Load all order fulfillment materials onto truck for delivery and unload at delivery.

• Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner.

• Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle.

• Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor.

• Receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, wire cutting, and other warehouse functions

• Operating a computer and smartphone

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $18 to $18 hourly.
