About the Position

Job Title: Ray Tech Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00-16:30 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1-2 years License: Radiologic Technologist and Technician Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Must-Have: Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible. Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Upcoming start dates: 10/12, 10/26. The facility has 154 beds and provides various services including orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and behavioral health. It is accredited by the Joint Commission. The location is in a region known for its natural beauty and proximity to several key destinations. Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility. Required skills include critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Essential functions include monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate. Prepare preliminary paperwork for final interpretation by the cardiologist. Perform exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests. Recognize chest pain and arrhythmias during stress testing, and respond to obtain appropriate assistance as needed. Monitor, receive, and restock supplies. Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment as necessary. Troubleshoot minor problems and make adjustments during procedures. Prepare recordings for interpretation. Collect and review pertinent medical history and medication information to perform prescribed studies. Assist with computerized charting and activities to improve department processes and maintain quality to achieve optimal patient results. Minimum education is a graduate of an approved course in Radiologic Technology. Minimum work experience includes hospital training during two years of an approved Radiologic Technologist program. Experience in X-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices is highly desirable.
