Operating Room Registered Nurse Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing across a variety of surgical specialties. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Circulate and scrub across multiple service lines including General, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Thoracic, and Robotics. Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, providing instruments and supplies as needed. Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during surgical procedures. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room. Document patient care accurately and completely. Provide post‑operative care to patients, including wound care and pain management. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience. Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Level I trauma experience. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing techniques. Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment. Ability to monitor patients’ vital signs and recognize changes in condition. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and Vocera systems. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook.
