District Float Assistant Cook
Join our team and help make a difference in our guests lives with fresh, chef-created, and prepared food. The District Float Assistant Cook provides versatile support across multiple school sites, filling in for absent staff to ensure student meals are served without interruption. This is a guaranteed 5-hour daily position, with the requirement to work an extended 6-or-7 hour shifts depending on the schedule of the employee being covered. Essential Functions:
- Reliable transportation to travel to various school sites across the district.
- Ability to respond to early morning schedule changes or short-notice assignments.
- Work extended 6- or 7-hour shifts on short notice to cover for absent staff.
- Preparing, serving, distributing food and clean up and may require working in various areas.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull kitchen supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Contributing to a positive work environment
- Demonstrating integrity, dependability, and punctuality
- Maintaining a professional appearance
- Following food safety requirements/guidelines
- Performs other duties as requested by the leadership team
Who We Are:

Taher, Inc. maintains a consistent presence in Food Service Management's Top 25 companies. Food Service experience preferred/customer service experience desired. Ability to do simple arithmetic. Ability to make correct change and use a basic computation device. Contributes to a positive work environment. Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality. Dependable, punctual.
