Summary As a Class A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering merchandise to various locations with multiple stops per day and returning home daily. You will ensure the safe and timely delivery of products while adhering to transportation regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Deliver countertop and flooring material safely and efficiently. Assist in the loading, unloading, and proper securing of cargo. Skillfully position blocks, ties, straps/chains, and binders for cargo securement. Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate vehicles safely at all times. Exhibit patience and a polite demeanor towards fellow road users. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Adapt to changing conditions, prioritize a customer-centric approach, and uphold a commitment to delivering quality service. Work independently while maintaining focus. Perform additional duties as required or requested. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently deliver flooring, countertop, wall tile, and hardscaping products to local destinations with multiple stops. Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are properly secured using blocks, straps, chains, and binders. Operate vehicles with constant attention to safety and DOT compliance. Maintain a legal and accurate logbook at all times. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate patience and professionalism with other road users. Adapt to changing delivery conditions while maintaining a customer-focused attitude. Work independently with an emphasis on safety and service excellence. Provide excellent customer service during all deliveries. Perform additional duties as required or requested. Requirements Valid Class A Driver’s License. Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles. Comfortable with making local deliveries with multiple stops. Successful completion of driving test and all DOT pre-employment requirements. Safety-minded with proficiency in maintaining a legal and accurate logbook. Capable of understanding and interpreting bill of landing/picking sheets. Previous experience utilizing an iPad or tablet is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Class A Driver’s License. One (1) plus year of verifiable driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles. Experience making local deliveries with multiple stops. Successful completion of a driving test and all DOT pre-employment requirements. Safety-focused with proficiency in maintaining legal and accurate logbooks. Ability to understand and interpret bills of lading and picking sheets. Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed. Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder. Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. Able to work at elevated height of 72” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment.
