Boston's Bridge To Excellence Inc. is looking for a passionate and energetic Before and After School Teacher to join our team in Boston, MA! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment before and after the school day. If you love working with kids and are dedicated to their growth and development, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage students in structured and recreational activities during before and after school program hours
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, games, and enrichment programs
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all students
- Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and behavior
- Monitor student attendance and follow proper check-in/check-out procedures
- Enforce program rules and behavioral expectations in a consistent and supportive manner
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with school-age children in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare compliance requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic team player with a passion for youth development
