RN Staff  Nurse –Medical Oncology/Infusion

(On-site, Cranberry Township, PA 16066)

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with full benefits; not a temporary job)

Location: Cranberry Township, PA 16066

Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday–Friday daylight schedule; no evenings, weekends, or holidays required)

Work Arrangement: On-site (Float role supporting regional medical oncology outpatient practices across Butler, Allegheny, and surrounding area offices; mileage reimbursement provided)

New Hire Starting Base Pay: $36.50 – $38.64 per hour (Starting placement within the range is determined by direct clinical nursing, oncology, IV administration, or infusion experience.)

Future Earning Potential: Position hourly rate progresses up to $45.04 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and oncology clinical nursing career ladder advancement. ($6,000 sign-on bonus available; federal mileage reimbursement provided).

Mandatory Qualifications

• Licensure & Certifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or current Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate license; Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required within 30 days of hire per AHA standards. National oncology nursing certification (ONC) preferred.
• Education & Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required (BSN preferred); minimum of six (6) months of RN experience required. Prior oncology nursing experience and strong IV insertion/venipuncture skills strongly preferred.
• Core Competencies & Mobility: Outstanding clinical judgment, physical stamina for patient positioning/transfers, proficiency with EMR systems, and reliable personal transportation to float between regional oncology practices as scheduled.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Infusion & Treatment Nursing: Manage and administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, supportive IV medications, and blood products to oncology patients in an outpatient infusion setting while closely monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Apply the nursing process within a Relationship Based Care model to perform daily clinical assessments, formulate holistic care plans, manage symptom management triage, and evaluate patient responses to treatment protocols.
• Patient & Family Education: Provide detailed teaching to cancer patients and their families regarding treatment regimens, drug side effects, vascular access care, emergency warning signs, and home symptom management.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Shared Governance: Partner with oncologists, advanced practice providers, clinical pharmacists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care plans; participate in unit-based quality improvement and shared governance initiatives.
