Staff Nurse

Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department within our Healthcare & Medical Services division. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing emergent and urgent conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. Drawing on your critical care experience, you will perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care using triage protocols, initiate and manage IV therapy, administer medications safely, and monitor patients for changes in condition using advanced clinical judgment. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that reflect our commitment to improving and saving lives across Texas. In this role, you will document accurately in the electronic health record, maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and patient safety standards, and serve as an advocate for patients and their families by providing clear communication, education, and emotional support during stressful situations. You will operate and maintain emergency equipment such as defibrillators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and oxygen delivery systems, responding quickly and effectively to codes and other critical events.
