Job Summary: Augusta, GA Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient Rehabilitation)
A Speech Language Pathologist is needed for an inpatient rehabilitation setting supporting bedside swallow evaluations, MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study), cognitive assessment and treatment, and stroke rehabilitation services. The role also includes performing speech and swallowing interventions using equipment such as Vital Stim and related therapy tools. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

- Schedule: Days shift; 8 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week.

- Required Qualifications:
- Georgia (GA) license
- Certification: CCC (Clinical Competence Certification)
- Skills: MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study), dyspHagia, cognitive assessment and treatment, stroke rehabilitation
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/skills: Vital Stim
- Experience: TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) experience
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct bedside swallow exams
- Perform MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study)
- Provide Vital Stim therapy interventions
- Support cognitive assessment and treatment
- Participate in urgent evaluations for swallow or diet concerns (rarely)
- Additional Information:
- Patient care sessions are typically 30 to 45 minutes.
- Session frequency and disciplines supported on the unit may vary based on referrals and census.
- Typical equipment includes Vital Stim, Bioness, Pneuvest, and visual and cognitive program tools.
