Medical AR Specialist

Columbus Oncology and Hematology is looking for a full-time Medical AR Specialistto join our team! Columbus Oncology and Hematology is a private practice that offers services at three locations throughout the Columbus area. This position is responsible for claim follow-up, denial management, patient billing and account reconciliation. This position is onsite at our Dublin, Ohio business location. This is not a remote position but a hybrid opportunity is available following training. Responsibilities Proven experience in reviewing, researching and claim follow-up on insurance denials. Proven experience in submitting tiered appeals using precise arguments based on clinical documentation and payer medical policies. Ability to navigate Practice Management and EHR to identify aged outstanding balances. Ability to review medical necessity to defend high dollar claims. Identify, review, research, and resolve credit balances ensuring the correct disposition of funds. Strong documentation skills is a requirement on follow-up activities to provide a historical timeline of actions taken. Qualifications Two + years’ experience in a physician practice business office performing AR follow-up, denial management and reimbursement activities.
