Data EngineerApex Systems is seeking a Data Engineer with hands-on coding experience in Spark and Scala for a position with one of our top financial clients. Please see additional details and requirements below.Location: Richmond, VA; McLean, VA; or Plano, TXDuration: 6 month C2H or 2 year contract for nonconvertible resourcesProject DetailsThis team does a lot of work around many different types of data from various sources so they are looking for a data engineering with experience in big data to help on data engineeringExperience in big data with Hadoop & Spark is criticalThey work on various different DBs so strong SQL and Python experience is requiredDaily ResponsibilitiesWrite scripts to pull & merge dataWork with data modelsWrite queries & stored proceduresWork with Spark and ScalaRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience overall3+ years of coding experience with Spark and Scala3+ years of experience developing software solutions to solve complex business problemsHands-on AWS experienceSQLExperience working with Big dataPreferred QualificationsFinancial industry experienceJavaPython
